The family asks that there be no flowers or gifts.
Ron is survived by his wife Norma of Burlington; his daughter, Ronda Thatch; one sister, Jan Andreason and two grandsons.

Francisco ‘Frank’ Cortez

A funeral mass and celebration of the life of Francisco “Frank” Cortez will be held at a later date. Frank died March 30 a Via Christi Village in Manhattan, Kan.
He was born Oct. 4, 1917, in Morelia Michoacan, Mexico, the son of Julio and Jesus Cortez.
Preceded in death by his wife, Grace in April 2010, Frank is survived by three daughters: Frances (James) Stokes of Hot Spring, S.D.; Eloise Kaneshiro (Will Ing) of Hilo, Hawaii, and Anita Cortez (Jonathan Holden) of Manhattan, Kan.; his sister, Elvira Ortega of Independence, Kan.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Burial of cremains will be in the cemetery in Fredonia, Kan., where Grace and his parents lie in rest.
Memorials in Frank’s name may be sent directly to the Greybull Senior Citizen Center, 417 S. Second St., Greybull, WY 82426 or to Yorgensen, Meloan, Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Ave., Manhattan, KS 66502 with specification for the Frank Cortez Scholarship Fund at Kansas State University.

A military graveside service for Harold Duane Godfrey of Basin will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, at the Otto Cemetery. Harold, 85, died April 4 at his home in Basin.
Harold was born Jan. 25, 1926, in Worland, the son of David Eugene and Mimie Woods Godfrey. He received his schooling in Otto and Basin.
He is survived by his longtime companion Bonnie Bucknam of Basin; his nephews, Dave Godfrey of Worland, Brent Godfrey of Basin and Sidney Godfrey of Mesa, Ariz.; and his niece, Sheila Lincoln of Elko, Nev.
A memorial fund has been established at Security State Bank, Box 531, Basin, WY 82410. Proceeds will go to American Legion Marion Tanner Post 29.

Funeral services for Merrill Egan Yorgason of Ten Sleep were held Saturday, Aug. 30, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ten Sleep with Bishop Jacob Zent conducting.
Mr. Yorgason, 78, died Aug. 26 at Bonnie Bluejacket Memorial Nursing Home from complications of diabetes.
